Dinner With the Dwarves

The wedding was approaching. “No mischief, and no wailing for anything between the ceremonies”, Lily had warned. “I swear I’ll not” Rick cried out from his room.
Rick was a 7 year old, had a lot of imagination and was very naughty. It was a hard day for him, as today was the day everyone was waiting for, the marriage of Rick’s cousin Rosalie. Everyone was busy, in something or the other. Someone decorating the garden, while someone managing the cuisine. People were rushing past him from here to there.
Rick’s mom had gone to the market to buy Rosalie some good clothes and a sparkling wedding dress. Evening at 8, the moment came when everyone gathered to see the bridegroom enter. He was seated upon a horse and there was loud music playing in baground. Rick was staring the scene with curious eyes. But in the loud music, amidst the bright lights something cached his eyes, something moving, it was a creature, quite snakelike, with a hint of red color moving towards the back lawn. Rick followed it to the backyard. In the backyard, there were no lights, just darkness. Amidst the dark, Rick saw the creature clearly. To his shock, it was a dragon, a red dragon. It had red skin, sparkling blue eyes, just like diamonds. For a moment Rick watched it shockingly. Then again, the dragon moved towards a well present below the dark bushy trees. Rick had never seen this well, never before. He had spend complete 7 years in this house but had never ever seen this well. This hole was of the right size of Rick. He crept inside it and began to go down, and realized that it was really a long well.
Suddenly he saw a light deep down and began to rush towards it. There was a bright light and when he opened his eyes, all he saw was a land with dragons and dwarfs. He saw the red dragon, present beside him. Suddenly the dragon twitched and enlarged to form a dwarf of his size.
“Hey”, he exclaimed, “I am Orik, and you must be Rick?”. “Ye-s-s I-I am R-rick, b-ut I ‘m afraid I don’t know what’s going on, Can you explain me pl-eas-e?” Rick managed to speak.”.“Yea sure” the dwarf replied laughingly while Rick’s eyes popped out at his response. “This place is called Carvahall; we dwarves live here from a long time. When one of the dwarves discovered your world above, we used to visit it occasionally and by forming over selves a dragon, so that no one spots us. We don’t bring any harm to you and want to befriend you as we know you are a good person” he explained.
“Oh! Okay! That’s cool! I hope we’ll be good friends, but I am hungry right now and want to go to my world and eat” Rick murmured. “Don’t worry. We have got a lot of things for you to eat”. At once many dwarves came and asked Rick to sit and enjoy eating. One by one different kinds of food came, wines, juices, mushrooms and chicken”. Rick ate to his heart’s content and appreciated the food a lot of times. “Thank you so much Orik, I am sorry I have to go now as todays my cousin’s wedding.” “Sure Rick! We would love to see you again” Orik exclaimed.
“Rick! Where were you? And why are you smelling like you had mushrooms? Oh god! Did you start the food already? Huh bad manners Rick, I told you once the ceremony ends, and then the food is started! Now go! And sit next to your dad” Rick mother shouted angrily.
“Yes mom!” he replied happily.

  2. This is a good story. Did Rick went down the hole again next day? What her Mom told him when he did not eat in marriage dinner--he was already stuffed? What these dwarfs do when they come and visit our world? Did any other person ever came to know about dwarf's world?

  3. Thank you for liking it. That i cant say if he went or not but he was not at all uncomfortable with the company of dwarves and dragons, so we can conclude that he surely must had went there. There have been stories and myths about the dwarves. We cant really say if they are real creatures or if they will be coming to our world. So they are just said to be among the mythical creatures.
